Artist Bio
Elizabeth Laul Healey is an established artist who's art has been featured in galleries, art fairs, and shows across the United States and Mexico. Her art has been collected from people in the US, Latin America, Europe, and Asia. Some of her collectors include 20th Century Fox, founding members of MOCA Los Angeles, sports figures and celebrities alike.
Elizabeth grew up in the small artist town of Laguna Beach, California where there were over 100 art galleries and art studios. Elizabeth's high school alma mater were known as "The Artists". Although Elizabeth worked in an array of different fields throughout her life, she says "it's no surprise I ended up being a full time artist".
Before becoming an artist, Elizabeth sold seminars for Tony Robbins, worked as a wholesale mortgage broker, and even had a brief acting career in Hollywood. She worked as an art director and operations manager at a luxury magazine. Elizabeth has also authored multiple coffee table books that have been sold in locations such as Barnes & Noble and Costco.
Elizabeth now resides with her husband Duffy Healey between Wilson, North Carolina and San Diego, California. Together Elizabeth & Duffy are working on more extra large sculptures for a new art park as well as private commissions.
Artist Statement
Although I work with bright colors, my art often has a darker subtext. My work has always been about messaging.I believe art should awaken subconscious minds, ignite conversation, and make you feel something. My more recent artworks since the pandemic have focused more on spreading positivity so people can feel hope.
About the Art:
Our work is centered on positivity, connection, and uplifting the human spirit. We refer to our creations as Positivity Artwork because each sculpture incorporates messages and symbols designed to inspire hope, encourage kindness, and help people feel good about themselves.
The collars on our dogs are set to 11:11, a symbolic time representing oneness, intention, and the sharing of positive energy with the world. The circular motifs throughout our work represent community, love, and the interconnected nature of life. Mirrors are incorporated to encourage self-reflection and to remind us that each of us has a unique light that shines brightly.
Duffy Healey
Artist Bio
For more than 35 years, Duffy Healey built a successful career in marketing and real estate before discovering that creating and building meaningful artwork was where he truly belonged.
A graduate of the University of Southern California, Healey began his entrepreneurial journey during his college years in publishing and marketing (Healey Publishing). He went on to found a real estate publication in the Los Angeles area that eventually grew into a network of luxury real estate magazines spanning from Santa Barbara to Los Cabos, Mexico. After more than two decades of publishing, the company was acquired in 2008. Healey then turned his focus toward publishing books while also opening a boutique marketing firm serving clients in Southern California and North Carolina.
Healey’s creative vision and marketing expertise in the real estate industry have been widely recognized. In addition to his work in publishing, he has produced award-winning photography books in collaboration with state officials, tourism authorities, and organizations in the ocean conservation community. One notable book, Sea Voices, features interviews with more than 100 of the world’s leading ocean advocates, including environmental-minded celebrities such as Ted Danson, Yoko Ono, Jack Johnson, and members of the Cousteau family.
Today, Duffy Healey is a full-time working artist who creates large-scale outdoor sculptures with his wife, Elizabeth Laul Healey. Their work is represented in galleries and featured in public spaces across Mexico, Southern California, Florida, and North Carolina.
Together, the Healeys create bold, uplifting sculptures designed for outdoor environments that share positive messages such as Never Give Up, Be Kind, Do Great Things, Dream Big, Imagine, and Spread Love. Through their art, they aim to inspire optimism and connection, and they look forward to continuing to bring positivity into the world through their work.
